Todd Lynn SS09

Todd Lynn SS09

Todd Lynn presents his new line of sunglasses under the debuting line Linda Farrow Projects. Based on the engraving of an old show gun, Todd Lynn uses this design to place on the arms of his first collection of sunglasses in collaboration with Linda Farrow under the label Linda Farrow Projects. The collection is produced entirely from metal, giving the overall style a vintage look. The shape contrasts this with heavy lines and definite angles. The hinge which links the arms to the frame will be based on the Todd Lynn logo this will be used to connect the two. Todd Lynn launched his much anticipated eponymous menswear collection in London to press and buyers in September 2006. His aesthetic embodies the easy, dark and beautiful rock and roll cool that his music industry heavy hitters have long appreciated. Once the sole domain of his celebrity bespoke clientele, now the world-at large can access the Todd Lynn aesthetic. Whilst designing purely for his celebrity clientele Lynn produced for Bono, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood; Marilyn Manson; Soft Cell’s Marc Almond; Courtney Love and P.J. Harvey.

Tim Hamilton SS09

Tim Hamilton SS09

Tim Hamilton presents his new line of sunglasses in collaboration with Linda Farrow under the debuting line Linda Farrow Projects. Born in Iowa to a Lebanese mother and an American father, Tim Hamilton founded his independent New York based menswear line in 2007. Tim Hamilton endeavors to merge refined elegance with youthful energy always initiating creativity first but also keeping a base amid traditionalism. This contrast is reflected in the colours and fabrics of Tim Hamilton’s collection; muted colours meet with a nearly-Technicolor palette as fabrics with movement and cashmere silk jerseys play off of deluxe dense twills, cashmeres and washed poplins. The idea on design behind the collaboration with Linda Farrow was to base it on traditional menswear shapes but to bring in contempory materials. The use of classic colours such as jet black and navy keep to this ideal particularly with the newly designed inter-locking hinge in matt silver. ‘It’s an honor to be able to bring this project to life with the Linda Farrow team. Their global vision and expertise made the collaboration become a dream come true. I only wore Linda Farrow vintage sunglasses before, now I get to wear both my name along with Linda Farrow’.

Preen SS09

Preen SS09

Preen presents their new line of sunglasses under the debuting line Linda Farrow Projects. The Preen brand moves a step further with the release of their first line of sunglasses in collaboration with Linda Farrow. Exaggerated aviators sit comfortably with the Preen aesthetic. Gold, nude and grey metal frames give the sunglasses a rich overall look and feel. This style is going to feel desirable to anyone who loves to hide behind their sunglasses. The London label has gone from strength to strength in the past 12 years. The decision to quit London Fashion Week for New York, in 2007, confirmed the label's international status, and all this achieved without compromising their design aesthetic: intricately embellished clothing that teams a perfect cut with unusual design elements. Preen is Justin Thornton & Thea Bregazzi. The duo first designed together when asked by Helen Storey to consult on her Autumn/Winter 1996/97. Inspired by the experience of designing together they launched ‘Preen’.

Peter Pilotto SS09

Peter Pilotto SS09

Peter Pilotto presents his new line of sunglasses under the debuting line Linda Farrow Projects. Peter Pilotto introduces an updated, sporty version on the classic oversize Jackie O. The design duo met while studying at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. The pair are engrossed by the richly decorated costumes of the 1920's Ballets Russes, the illustrations of Léon Bakst, medieval Page Boys, Byzantine Churches, warriors of ancient Rome and back to a much further future - science fiction.

Fushia, Canary Yellow, Red, and smoke Grey add life to the hard lines of the frame. To match the hard lines of the frames varying colours of metal (gold, silver, black) has been used which give the overall feel to the frame real strength. Detailing on the temple and end of the arm come comes in a stud matching the frame in colour. Giles Deacon's emergence in the spotlight at London Fashion Weeks autumn/winter 2004 shows coincided with a boom in British fashion. Only two years after launching his signature label Giles, British designer Giles Deacon has fine-tuned his vision of high craft mixed with a wonderful sense of wit.

House of Holland SS08

House of Holland SS08

Linda Farrow and House of Holland introduces their first sunglasses collaboration for Spring / Summer 2008. Henry Holland graduated from London College of Printing with a BA Journalism, starting his imaginative slogan Tees in 2006 as a bit of an in-joke, when Giles Deacon and Gareth Pugh took their London catwalk bows wearing each others respective House of Holland “Fashion Groupies” T-shirts: “UHU Gareth Pugh” worn by Giles and “Get Your Freak On Giles Deacon” worn by Gareth, it catapulted him into the international fashion arena. By late 2008, Henry Holland and his long-standing best friend model Agyness Deyn, flown to international fashion events such as American Vogue’s annual Met Ball, shot together for the cover of Dazed & Confused Japan, and emblematic of London’s new wave. House of Holland was now boasting premium international stockists, being taken seriously as a fashion brand, as well as financing the core business by still producing the slogan T-shirts that first brought them to prominence.

Jeremy Scott SS06

Jeremy Scott SS06

Jeremy Scott and Linda Farrow are launching their first line of sunglasses for Sring Summer 2006. The fact that Jeremy Scott was born in Kansas may explain the Oz-like sense of whimsy in his designs. His farcically-themed shows have taken inspiration from S&M leather culture, mermaids and sea monsters, and even Gilette Venus razors, featuring wild designs incorporating trash bags, dollar bills, and one-legged pants. He's garnered attention from fashion icons like Karl Lagerfeld, celebrities, and socialites alike. After living and showing in Paris for several years, Scott returned to the U.S. in 2002 to inject a shot of glittered good humor to the Los Angeles fashion scene. It's easy to see that his satin, silk, and taffeta collections are narcissistic without apology, theatrical beyond compare, and designed for women who love to dress up and play the part of ultimate diva.

Basso & Brooke SS06

Silk-screened acetate frames; sandwiched in their signature fabrics, to expose print on the surface and a luxurious ivory plastic in the inside. Hearts, Stars and Kissable lips, will surely be the must have of the season.
